PROCESS

Our process begins with listening to you, our client.

Over the years we have had the good fortune of working with some of the most discriminating clients and the finest builders in the region. We are craftsmen at heart, and believe that creating good design is the heart of our work. Maintaining a keen grasp of construction principles and leveraging the knowledge and talent of experienced tradesmen is of critical importance to maximizing the potential in any project. We are skilled, creative, and attentive to our clients needs. We believe that the solution for every project springs from channeling our clients' needs along with the unique attributes of the building site, with the design of each project being unique.

We hope to have the opportunity to assist you in turning your dream home into a reality.

1. Site Analysis

We start by performing a site analysis — a process during which we identify the opportunities presented by your site.

2. Schematic Design

The schematic design phase is comprised of preliminary drawings of the site plan, floor plans, and elevations. These preliminary drawings demonstrate the general concept and character of the design; how the design fulfills your needs and desires while realizing the opportunities offered by your site.

3. Design Development

This phase is when the architect prepares more detailed floor plans, elevations and cross sections to illustrate the major aspects of the design. The next level of decisions that will be documented in the drawings need to be made. These include decisions about materials and finishes, lighting, windows & doors, and cabinetwork.

4. Construction Documentation

This phase involves the creation of the technical drawings and general specifications that will be utilized to obtain building permits and for the general contractor to build your home. This final phase of our basic services is equally important as any of the other phases. Without an accurate and complete set of plans the bidding and permitting process will be slowed as well as for the potential of construction errors causing building delays and cost increases.
